Concrete Floor Leveling Abbotsford
Concrete Leveling Abbotsford
When you are looking to install new floors, getting your concrete sub-floor leveled properly is required by code. Follow along to get a better understanding of our process. Once we are finished working on your concrete slab, your floor will come out perfectly level. To begin, we seal off any parts of your home that dust might be able to enter and taper off the baseboards. To help promote consistent airflow, a dust control system is in place to keep good ventilation.
Once the prep work is complete, we use a grinder to remove any dirt and grime that is left on the surface. Bacteria and drywall are other common impurities that are removed during this process. As we finish up grinding, we do a vacuum of the space to ensure there is not remaining dust or other particles. As we vacuum your floor, we take a look for any cracks or damages in the concrete slab. Cracks can be touched up with caulking and a patch material can be used for any damaged areas.
We then move on to sealing your floor once we deem the surface to be cleaned and touched up. Sealing is done to ensure the bond to your floors is made as strong as possible. Once the primer is fully dried, we begin pouring concrete on to the surface. Our team has created a process where we are able to do a quick pour which allows for the end product to dry together and remain level as a single entity. This process has been developed through working in this industry for countless years.
Our team now double checks the levelness of the surface with a laser and straightedge as the self leveling compound begins to dry. The final step of the process involves cutting off any spray foam and scraping any concrete drips that formed.
We have worked with many general contractors and flooring installers on helping them with concrete floor leveling. After working for many years alongside these contractors, we know how to get the concrete slab in the perfect condition for a seamless transition to the next party involved. While we mostly work with concrete slabs, we have a ton of experience working with wood sub floors as well.
