Concrete Repairs Abbotsford
Commerical Concrete Repairs
When concrete issues come up in commercial settings, they can go unnoticed due to everything that is going, especially in a setting like a warehouse. However, due to the traffic and wear that concrete gets in this type of setting, even a small issue could lead to much larger problems if left untreated. For example, if a minor void exists under the slab of concrete or below any control joints, flexing can occur which will lead to an unsafe work environment. Our commercial team has years of experience with many different types of repairs and will ensure a quick and efficient repair. As fellow business owners, we understand that having to delay operations can directly impact your bottom line. This is why we draw up a plan to ensure there is as little downtime for you workers as possible when going forward with a repair.
In industrial settings, the daily use of heavy machinery can put a lot of stress on the concrete surface. If this is coupled with weak load-bearing soils, voids beneath the concrete and control joints can be created. This can lead your concrete to displace, flex, and even sag which will create a dangerous work environment for your employees. In a more traditional commercial setting such as office buildings, concrete settlement is the most typical issue we find which is caused by poorly compact soil or soil washout. If this settlement is left unrepaired, it can lead to major structural and interior damages. If you ever notice any cracks, bumps, or irregularities with your concrete, don't hesitate to give us a call and we can assess the situation for you. |
Concrete Leak Repair
Imagine walking into your basement and you see a small puddle forming in the corner, it's like you just entered a nightmare. A leak in your concrete caused by a crack in your foundation is more common than you think and it can lead to pretty significant damage if left untouched. A crack that is considered non-structural is usually repaired through a polyurethane injection. Polyurethane is a great solution when dealing with cracks that could have moisture in them which is common in below grade concrete structures (below ground level). This is because water accelerates the curing process of the injection which make it perfect for cracks that are actively leaking or have any mud or sediments in them. When possible, repairing your concrete leak from the inside is the preferred method as it is much more affordable and less invasive than excavating and installing a waterproof membrane to your concrete.
Concrete Crack Repairs
A concrete crack is not a pretty thing to look at and depending on what type of crack has formed, there can be some serious repercussions if it is left unattended. For a structural concrete repair, an epoxy injection is the preferred method due to the strength of the bond that it creates. Epoxy does not work well when there is any water involved and is more commonly used for above grade (above ground level) cracks as there is less chance of moisture being present. An epoxy injection brings back the integrity of your concrete as once it's cured, it does an excellent job in holding the concrete together. Our concrete repair contractors are well experienced in diagnosing and providing you with the best options for any of concrete cracks that may come in your life.
